Challenge Submission: I Heart Faces “JUMP!”

This is my very first time submitting an image to the iheartfaces challenges. As a new photographer, I am really nervous about submitting to a challenge and critique on my work, but this image that I love so much and was a total serendipitous capture should be worth the nerves I hope! I have nothing to lose I suppose. Take a look at the other entries and let me know what you think my chances are?!

I wanted to add, for anyone coming in – This was shot as is, underexposed using available light in a parking garage (the darker side had single beams of downward circular lights). It wasn’t planned exactly, we were simply using the garage as it had an urban feel and worked for our time of day, but voila, this happened when I started noticing the natural lighting in the garage buscar. I learned a great deal from this shoot on creatively underexposing!

LIGHTROOM 5 EDIT NOTES: Hardly any editing happened for the final image. I amped the saturation a touch (for her neons), upped the clarity and blacks for dramatics. Bit of luminance to smooth out a high ISO. That’s it. No photoshopping or magic, yes, she really jumped that high.
