Happiness in Progress with Danielle Craig | LIVE PODCAST! | #HIPLIVE 2019 Event Photography

Meet my friend, Danielle Craig, A mom of two boys and one girl, wife and Emmy-award winning journalist. Danielle produces a podcast called, Happiness in Progress and recently threw the ultimate ladies night out with a Happiness in Progress LIVE Podcast event, referred to as #HIPLIVE. I attended as the event photographer, but also as a supporter of Danielle’s amazing talent with words and wisdom.

You are worth fighting for.

While Danielle’s podcast is based more broadly on how to be a happier individual, this event was focused on, in my translation, the issues women face with personal reflection and self-worth. I also find it very interesting that it’s not really the men in our lives that give us this self-doubt, it’s a women vs. women issue. Women are opinionated and judgy. We judge others without thinking and we judge and compare ourselves! Attending an event like this is a comprehensive reminder of fuel-filled messages to kick your own butt into gear.

The #HIPLIVE 2019 Event was held at the gorgeous Roxyanne Winery and maxed out at 100 like-minded women. Messages such as “Worth Fighting For” and “I’m Enough” saturated the event through signage and goodie bag takeaways. The event started in the early evening and continued through sunset, which really added a bit of glamour to the outdoor venue.

I was curious how a live podcast event would actually pan out. Much to my suprise, it flowed seamlessly into the evening starting with some opening talk from Danielle at the podium split up with dinner and then rolled right into an easy going back and forth between interviewee’s, Lou Crenshaw and Shantell Dayton of local fitness program, Camp 17. Danielle kept the Q & A going for the first half, then she shifted pace to include questions from the audience. This was for sure a great partnership to kick off this first of [ I’m sure ] many future #HIPLIVE events. Lou and Shantell were great subjects with a relaxed and welcoming vibe.

Everything at the event was spectacularly on par! Event Planner, Genevieve Keith put so much creativity into every bit of flourish and sparkle. The swag bags were amazing! The Paper Settings (each place setting: Journal, pen, menu, etc.) were beautiful! The food, a catered taco bar, and dessert by Sweet Cream Icecream were fantastic. To top it off, DJ Gemini set the sound vibe throughout the evening. Between sponsors, local influencers, a small army of behind the scenes devotees and more, this event appeared flawless.
