I’ve really missed photographing The Open! I can’t believe the last time I did photography at this event was in 2015. Crazy! I thought I’d see too many new faces and feel like a fish out of water. However, there were so many familiar faces and it was so much fun to catch up. I feel like we kinda dropped out of the loop in 2015.
I love supporting this event at CrossFit The Den and providing photography for these hard-working athletes. I am not paid to be a photographer at this event, but I have come to justify it with regards to being able to sell the images in my CrossFit Stock Sales at Creative Market and Adobe Stock Images (with the approval of the athletes of course). The Open is comprised of five workouts over five weeks. Open workouts are identified by their year and the order in which they appear. So this one was called, 19.1. The workouts are released every Thursday during the five weeks of the Open, and you can watch the live announcement of the workout that will be streamed on the CrossFit Games website.
